Big Island Charity - Please Help Thomas Tucker Jr.

Thomas Tucker Jr. is our friend. He found me while he was searching for a gift in Ocean View Gift Store. He found my HazelMoon's Hawaiian Tarot and he really loved it. He contacted me and supprisingly we were only living a few blocks away from each other. We invited Thomas to our 'Secret Garden' and had a talk story and 'grind da grinds day'. I gave him a signed copy of the Hawaiian Tarot and he was thrilled with excitement. We had a wonderful time and got to know each other well. Back then, he was a hard working guy at the local 'Malama Market'. Previously he had written an online review of my HazelMoon's Hawaiian Tarot.

More recently he provided some Tarot Readings at The First Annual Kilakila O Ka'u Music Festival. A three day spiritual, Hawaiian and music festival celebrating the transition of Venus and Thomas was doing Tarot Card and psychic readings in the Center of a Vortex. The festival was to support local artists and highlighted with the Transition of Venus. This delightful event was held in the "Circle of Stones".
"Mystic Row", where all the palmists, energy and tarot readers were set up, happened to be right next to the vortex and provided extra energy for all to draw upon with their respective work. This is where he had his Chakra Healing performed with much delight.

We all know, that this photo is too silly in representing himself, but this is the now happens to be the true face of Thomas today.
Please read his story...

I have been trying really hard to keep my life in order, but it's gotten to the point where I am not even living and barely surviving. It has been really hard these last few months since I lost my job in September of 2011 due to company cut-backs and layoffs, and am surprised I have been able to hang on this long. If it weren't for the love of my five dogs, I just may have well killed myself by now, I am that depressed. I am still working on trying to find another job, but every time a position comes available, the mangers conduct about 10 interviews a day because of all the applicants. My life right now is harder than it has ever been and I am doing my very best not to fall into too deep a dark depression. I have applications out all over the place, and keep praying for a call. I am asking $3,000.00 because that's about what I need to get back on my feet and feel like I can start living again, but even $500 would be nice to hold off my landlord for another month so I won't have to move.

I'm also trying to sell stuff on the internet, but I'm lucky if I just make enough to feed myself and my dogs. I recently drained to ZERO both of my savings accounts just to keep in food and necessities, but far from paying the rent. I am now 6 months behind on rent and my landlord wants me out by the end of the month, which is approaching fast. He let me slide on the first three months, but now he's had enough. I can't move without a running car, and I can't move anywhere that will let me take my five dogs with me, and the thought of getting rid of any one of them is tearing my heart to pieces. I just can't imagine them in anyone else's home but mine. I've had them all for over 5 years and they are my only true companions and I know they love me very much and I love them very much.

My car needs a new starter, and the part is $130.00. My back-rent owed is quickly approaching $2,500. If I had known my life would end up like this in Hawaii, I never would have moved here so far away from my family, who are all the way back in Maryland. That's another thing, too, I have not seen my Mom and Dad for over 12 years because airfare is so darn expensive and I can't leave my dogs.

We have water catchment tanks here for catching rain water for our homes and they require water pumps to pump the water from the tank to the house and mine broke last year and they cost $230.00. For the last year or so, I have been heating water on the stove for bathing and doing dishes. I'm also drinking green, dirty water because my catchment needs a good cleaning and a new cover. I haven't even looked into the prices of those. I've been boiling the water on the stove with a little bleach to help "purify" it for drinking, but I know it is not safe.

Then, about a month ago right in the middle of cooking, the regulator on my gas stove sprung a leak and shot massive flames like a Super-Sonic flamethrower all over the kitchen. I guess I'm lucky that the whole house didn't burn down or that the propane tank didn't explode. My hot water heater is also hooked up to propane, and one day not too long ago, I went to light the pilot light after switching out the tanks and the whole thing caught on fire. Another event where I'm lucky I was home and the house didn't burn down.

I gotta say it's a good thing I have my dogs to count on me and depend on me, or else I may very well have done something drastic by now. I just can't bear the thought of going through the process of finding them homes so I can move. I can't move without a car to move my stuff with.

Right now I'm just a heavy-hearted man with a soul full of sorrow and a broken spirit. 42 years of life and I have nothing to show for it. For the first time in my life, I am completely and totally lost, desperate and destitute and don't know what to do about it.

The charger for my cell phone recently broke, as well, and it is an old phone for which I cannot find another. So now,
I cannot even make phone calls. So, here I sit begging you for any help at all that you can give to a poor, struggling man about to lose everything.

To sum things up:

I have no oven, only a small camp stove for cooking.
I can get another propane one for about $350.
I have no water pump: Cost is $230 for a new one.
I have no running car: Needs a new starter: $130.00.
I have no running hot water: Hot water heaters used run about $40 when I can find them in used condition. There's something even better called "Palomas", but they run about $250.00.

I owe over 3 months back rent to my landlord. This is the most pressing issue at the moment, and the back rent owed is quickly approaching the $2,500 mark. There's no way I can come up with that in two weeks time, but he is a nice guy and would be satisfied with about $500. That would really save me from having to move for another month. I can provide pictures of all the damaged or items needing repair or replaced, if needed.

I hope you all have a good day, and sorry if this is a depressing read; it's just what is going on in my life right now. I don't even know what tomorrow will be like-I just take it one minute at a time, one day at a time these days.

Thank you in advance for any help you can spare, take care and God Bless, if He is even there-I'm beginning to doubt and lose faith in all of it. I still pray, though, for whatever good it does.

Thank you and Mahalo for all the help and consideration!
