Barabbas M. Gould was born on Long Island, in New York. Growing up in a middle class family with Hungarian, Jewish, Russian and Italian heritage. He's a multi-skilled craftsman, mixed media artist and very intelligent guy with a strange sense of humor that keeps most people here laughing.
He has worked on "Off Broadway" as a production manager for 'Screaming Venus Theater Company'. Was trained as a Gentleman's Gentelman" and is a great cook. Currently serving the community as a property manager and general carpenter, specializing in our senior members.
He also happens to be a minister working with several churches and missions localy and jokes that all he needs now is a boat to complete the complex.
In his spare time he likes to craft various items from local wood generously supplied by our neighborhood saw mill owner, Jeff Anderson,(Thank you Jeff.) Some of the hand made and if I do say so myself, beautiful wood creations are from island woods such as; Koa, Ohia, Mango, Monkey Pod, Eucalyptus and Sandalwood.
He is also my husband, friend and business partner. We met in Hawai'i and after 5 years we married at our favorite black sand beach in Kalapana.
This blog will show you some of his work. Some are still available and can be purchased. He can make you almost anything and enjoys attempting new requests, just ask. He priviously made some; planchette(s), custom-made crosses for specific denominations of faith, bookmarks, hair pins, a heart shaped jewerly holder, menorah, even a life sized surfboard in the old style, business card holder & letter opener set, cutting board, birdfeeder, paddles,
and much more...
Every work, from as small as he could craft to as large as he could jamb through the saws, has been a challange, but they have all turned out as a unique work of art and I am proud of his abilities.

Curly Mango with an Ivy DesignAVAILABLE Pendulum made by Hawaiian Koa and Ohia Custom Made SOLD Our latest Custom Order made with Mango wood is a Door Saddle. Wood-burning made by Katalin E. Csikos-Gould. Pam and Bob used my artistic vision and let me follow my visions. On the raw mango wood, I saw the Hawaiian Mountains: Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. The lines were already outlined naturally in the wood, but not everyone had the same vision. So this is how it turned out. Barabbas can also make you custom items
from your own trees/woods.
Please contact Barabbas if you have any idea.
